7steps to succes.. By Less Brown

Les Brown was born with his twin brother Wesley on February 17, 1945 in a low-income section of Miami, Florida in an abandoned building. He was subsequently given up for adoption and adopted by Mamie Brown, a then 38-year-old single woman who worked as a cafeteria attendant and domestic assistant. He was declared “educably mentally retarded” while in grade school. Despite the obvious self-esteem issues this created, with the encouragement of his mother and assistance by a helpful teacher in high school, he learned how to reach his full potential, a key point in many motivational speeches he gives now.
7 Must-Read Success Lessons from Les Brown:
1. Learn to Win
“There are winners, there are losers, and there are people who have not yet learned how to win.”
Know which battles you shouldn’t be trying to win.  Play to your strengths, there are some things that you will never succeed in, more importantly, there are some things that ONLY you can succeed in.
2. Plant a Tree
“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”
This Web site has almost 8,000 subscribers because several years ago, I decided to start a self-development Web site, with 1 subscriber, myself.
To sit in the shade you must first plant a tree.  Plant a tree today, though it be small, it’s latter end will be great.
3. Twice Every Day
“Review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them. Goals help you channel your energy into action.”
Place your goals in a place where you see them every day.  If you don’t see them, you will forget about them.  If you forget about them, it is self-evident that you will not achieve them.  Place your top three goals in a place where you will see them every day.
4. Stretch Yourself
“If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness.”
To change your life, you must change the way you think.
In January of this year I listened to/read 27 books.  On January 31st, I saw things very differently then I saw them on January 1st – my consciousness had expanded.
Stretch yourself, challenge yourself; challenge the way you think, challenge what you eat, what you read, how you spend your time – you change by stretching yourself.
5. Get Your “But” Out the Way
“The only limits to the possibilities in your life tomorrow are the buts you use today.”
…But I’m too old, too young, I’ve waited too long, I’ve messed up too many times, I’m misunderstood.  Your path to success is being blocked by your “but.”  Why you’re saying how and why something can’t be done, there’s somebody out there doing it.  Get your “but” out the way!
6. Land on Your Back
“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.”
You may have been knocked down, you may be convinced that you won’t succeed, but if you can look up, you can get up.  Get up one more time!  You are not your past mistakes; you have within you the ability to succeed, so look up!
7. Change
“You cannot expect to achieve new goals or move beyond your present circumstances unless you change.”
At the end of the day, these are just cute quotes if you don’t decide to change.  You have to make a decision, you have to decide to maximize your potential.
Good is not good enough when you’re destined to be great.  Get up, look up, and succeed!

37 Quotes by John rohn....

Jim-Rohn
Jim Rohn was a pretty incredible guy. He was an entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story, like the celebrity rags to riches stories I posted about before, played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry. Although he had done a lot in both life and business, he was known primarily for inspiring self development. With that said, here are 37 highlyinspirational quotes from Jim Rohn.

“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.” - Jim Rohn
“If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree.” - Jim Rohn
“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” - Jim Rohn
“Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day.” - Jim Rohn
“Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.” - Jim Rohn
“If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.” - Jim Rohn

“The few who do are the envy of the many who only watch.” - Jim Rohn
“One of the best places to start to turn your life around is by doing whatever appears on your mental “I should” list.” - Jim Rohn
“The major reason for setting a goal is for what it makes of you to accomplish it. What it makes of you will always be the far greater value than what you get.” - Jim Rohn
“The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keeps out the joy.” - Jim Rohn
“Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.” - Jim Rohn
“Either you run the day or the day runs you.” - Jim Rohn
“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” - Jim Rohn
“Get around people who have something of value to share with you. Their impact will continue to have a significant effect on your life long they have departed.” - Jim Rohn
“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.” - Jim Rohn
“You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.” - Jim Rohn
“Learn how to separate the majors and the minors. A lot of people don’t do well simply because they major in minor things.” - Jim Rohn

“Your personal philosophy is the greatest determining factor in how your life works out.” - Jim Rohn
“We can have more than we’ve got because we can become more than we are.” - Jim Rohn

Les Brown....?

"Don't let the negativity given to you by the world
disempower you. Instead give to yourself that which empowers you."

"It's important to me that money not be important to me."

"When you want something, you have to be willing to pay your dues."

"One of the most essential things you need to do for yourself is to choose a goal that is important to you. Perfection does not exist - you can always do better and you can always grow."

"Life has no limitations, except the ones you make."

"Get your ideas on paper and study them. Do not let them go to waste!"

"You must take action now that will move you towards your goals. Develop a sense of urgency in your life."

"You gotta be hungry!"

"Forgive yourself for your faults and your mistakes and move on."

"You don't get in life what you want; you get in life what you are."

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

"Honor your commitments with integrity."

"In day-to-day commerce, television is not so much interested in the business of communications as in the business of delivering audiences to advertisers. People are the merchandise, not the shows. The shows are merely the bait."

"Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago."

"We must look for ways to be an active force in our own lives. We must take charge of our own destinies, design a life of substance and truly begin to live our dreams."

"A lot of people do not muster the courage to live theirdreams because they are afraid to die."

"When you face your fear, most of the time you will discover that it was not really such a big threat after all. We all need some form of deeply rooted, powerful motivation -- it empowers us to overcome obstacles so we can live our dreams."

"The things you want are always possible; it is just that the way to get them is not always apparent. The only real obstacle in your path to a fulfilling life is you, and that can be a considerable obstacle because you carry the baggage of insecurities and past experience."

Greetings,
Faisel Gobind,

Les Brown
Born: 1945

Les Brown, a motivational speaker and author, believes that what you do today will determine what your tomorrows will bring. "You are molding your tomorrow based on what you do today," he says. "You can determine what your future holds based on how much time and energy you spend working on yourself now. Find out what it is you want, and go after it as if your life depends on it. Why? Because it does," says Brown.

Les Brown truly an inspiration! He had no formal education past high school. But what he did have was persistence and determination. He was born in a low-income city in Miami, Flordia. Les and his twin brother were adopted when they were six weeks old. Ms. Maime Brown, a single parent woman who had little education become his mom. Here is a man who truly has achieved success!

Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

While you're still working a full-time job, here is a list of things you can do on the side to explore an idea for a great new business:

1. Research your idea. Figure out the market, talk to prospective customers about what they would like, see who your competitors are, and so forth.
2. Undertake legal incorporation and trademark protection.
3. Claim a web URL, build a website (or have it built) and get company email accounts.
4. Get a bank account and credit card (most likely you'll have to use personal credit at first).
5. If appropriate, initiate a Facebook page, a blog and a Twitter account.
6. Develop branding.
7. Talk it up to your network. Try to find interested parties as co-founders, staff, investors and advisers.
8. If necessary, build financial projections and draft a business plan.
9. Engage in personal financial planning, including cutting back on expenses and budgeting for startup costs.
10. Create a mock prototype and presentation for potential investors or customers.

If all of this sounds like a lot of work, you’re right. Getting this done while holding down a job is a significant commitment. Yet, you’re just getting started. There’s a big jump in difficulty when it comes to the next things.

1. Raise money. In my experience, fledgling entrepreneurs focus way too much on the money -- you can get most things done and figure out a lot without spending much. That said, most businesses require money to launch and get off the ground. Finding initial funds is the primary barrier most entrepreneurs face, as many people don’t have three or six months’ worth of savings to free themselves up to do months of unpaid legwork.

Related: Venture for America and Its Quest to Spread Entrepreneurship Beyond Silicon Valley

2. Develop the product. Product development is a significant endeavor. Even if you’re hiring someone to build your product, managing them to specifications is a huge task in itself. You can expect vendors to take twice as long and cost twice as much as you planned. This phase might require raising additional money as well.

3. Build a team. Most people don’t build a business alone and finding quality partners or employees can be time consuming and unpredictable. Your first employee is going to look to you for guidance and her productivity is going to depend on your ability to manage. With partners, you’ll need to make sure you can work well with them, since they’re going to be with you from the ground up and for years afterward.

4. Get customers. Going to trade shows or trying to get your first handful of paying customers is typically a major time investment. This can involve web marketing, producing content and search engine optimization -- all of which take significant energy and resources to generate a return.

9/11 was an inside job....???

Zwartmaken. En wat is dan de beste manier? Natuurlijk!

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Succes story

Ten years ago, when Tim Haskell couldn't find a haunted house in New York City, he did the only thing a theatre producer would do – he opened his own. Today, Haskell runs Nightmare a theatrical haunted house that draws in thousands of visitors each year around Halloween.
When Nightmare opened in 2003, it was widely thought that having a haunted house in New York City was, if not impossible, at least not profitable. Concerns over building permits, safety and profitability obstructed the creation of a haunted house. Even Haskell, who was working at the time as a publicist and producer, originally envisioned Nightmare as drawing an audience similar to an off-off-Broadway play.
"The first year, I told my wife, ‘If 100 people show up tonight, that'd be really awesome,' recalls Haskell. "The first night, it was literally over 1,000."
Since then, the endeavor has only grown. This year, 30,000 to 35,000 people are expected to walk through the event and tickets at $30 to $60 a piece. The event opened September 27 and will close on November 2.
Every year, Haskell invents a new theme that calls for a new layout, script and characters. This year's event – entitled "Killers2" – is the first year that a theme is being repeated, as Haskell says he had too many serial killers he wanted to represent to fit in last year's first "Killer" theme. Haskell has performed Nightmare in all five boroughs, opened a haunt in Miami and encountered interest for international ventures.
With growth comes a changing role for Haskell. "When I opened the door and there were a thousand people outside, I hated it and I loved it, because I had no idea how to deal with it," he says.
Today, his job has expanded far beyond that of a theatrical producer, as he oversees the planning of the rooms, acquires building permits and manages the 100 people involved in the production. "I wish I only had to worry about the creative, but now I don't," he says.
As Haskell balances the technical and the creative in his schedule, he also attempts to incorporate changes in Nightmare while sticking to its theatrical roots. "I think the theatricality part makes Nightmare scary as hell," says Haskell. Don't come to the haunted house expecting traditional scares of loud noises and masked villains. Instead, Haskell has remained committed to the idea that well-acted monologues are key to terrifying visitors -- though he's not above bloody hands grabbing guests from the shadows.
While September and October are "the craziest time of year" for Haskell, Nightmare has become a year-round job. Haskell continues to direct plays, but the business of Nightmare is a constant – and that's the way he likes it.
"If I could do this kind of stuff all year, I would be happy. It's really fun and artistically satisfying," he says. "I think more about this than any production, ever."

In response to Haskell's success, New York City has produced a growing number of haunted houses. During October, dozens of productions pop up, from trendy immersive theatre to burlesque cabaret. Time Scare operates year round, and not only has a haunted house, but also a "Crypt Café" and "Kill Bar."
However, Haskell's move toward year-round Nightmare is more dedicated to the idea of dark theatre than the traditional haunted house. Haskell already produces a Christmastime haunt, "The Experiment." Instead of a haunted house, individuals are selected to face their fears, whether they be gift-giving anxiety or rodent-induced disgust, in some creative manner as the audience watches with a mix of amusement and anxiety. Haskell says the show typically draws a smaller crowd than the Halloween event.
Someday, Haskell hopes to be scaring audiences every season. He's already working on Camp Nightmare, an overnight haunt in the woods, and if he can find a way to execute an Easter project in the spring, Nightmare would become a year-round terror in a very different way than most full-time haunted houses.

woning inbraken fors gestegen

zware aardbeving nederland...

'Aardbeving' in Groningen blijkt akoestische knal

Gaswinning

is kip gezond?

Consument eet meer diervriendelijke kip

Consumenten eten steeds vaker diervriendelijk geproduceerde kip.
