7steps to succes.. By Less Brown

Les Brown was born with his twin brother Wesley on February 17, 1945 in a low-income section of Miami, Florida in an abandoned building. He was subsequently given up for adoption and adopted by Mamie Brown, a then 38-year-old single woman who worked as a cafeteria attendant and domestic assistant. He was declared “educably mentally retarded” while in grade school. Despite the obvious self-esteem issues this created, with the encouragement of his mother and assistance by a helpful teacher in high school, he learned how to reach his full potential, a key point in many motivational speeches he gives now.
7 Must-Read Success Lessons from Les Brown:
1. Learn to Win
“There are winners, there are losers, and there are people who have not yet learned how to win.”
Know which battles you shouldn’t be trying to win.  Play to your strengths, there are some things that you will never succeed in, more importantly, there are some things that ONLY you can succeed in.
2. Plant a Tree
“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”
This Web site has almost 8,000 subscribers because several years ago, I decided to start a self-development Web site, with 1 subscriber, myself.
To sit in the shade you must first plant a tree.  Plant a tree today, though it be small, it’s latter end will be great.
3. Twice Every Day
“Review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them. Goals help you channel your energy into action.”
Place your goals in a place where you see them every day.  If you don’t see them, you will forget about them.  If you forget about them, it is self-evident that you will not achieve them.  Place your top three goals in a place where you will see them every day.
4. Stretch Yourself
“If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness.”
To change your life, you must change the way you think.
In January of this year I listened to/read 27 books.  On January 31st, I saw things very differently then I saw them on January 1st – my consciousness had expanded.
Stretch yourself, challenge yourself; challenge the way you think, challenge what you eat, what you read, how you spend your time – you change by stretching yourself.
5. Get Your “But” Out the Way
“The only limits to the possibilities in your life tomorrow are the buts you use today.”
…But I’m too old, too young, I’ve waited too long, I’ve messed up too many times, I’m misunderstood.  Your path to success is being blocked by your “but.”  Why you’re saying how and why something can’t be done, there’s somebody out there doing it.  Get your “but” out the way!
6. Land on Your Back
“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.”
You may have been knocked down, you may be convinced that you won’t succeed, but if you can look up, you can get up.  Get up one more time!  You are not your past mistakes; you have within you the ability to succeed, so look up!
7. Change
“You cannot expect to achieve new goals or move beyond your present circumstances unless you change.”
At the end of the day, these are just cute quotes if you don’t decide to change.  You have to make a decision, you have to decide to maximize your potential.
Good is not good enough when you’re destined to be great.  Get up, look up, and succeed!

37 Quotes by John rohn....

Jim-Rohn
Jim Rohn was a pretty incredible guy. He was an entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story, like the celebrity rags to riches stories I posted about before, played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry. “Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.” - Jim Rohn
“Either you run the day or the day runs you.” - Jim Rohn

disempower you. Instead give to yourself that which empowers you."

"Life has no limitations, except the ones you make."

"Get your ideas on paper and study them. Do not let them go to waste!"

"You must take action now that will move you towards your goals. Develop a sense of urgency in your life."

"You gotta be hungry!"

"Forgive yourself for your faults and your mistakes and move on."

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

"Honor your commitments with integrity."

"In day-to-day commerce, television is not so much interested in the business of communications as in the business of delivering audiences to advertisers. People are the merchandise, not the shows. The shows are merely the bait."

"Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago."

"We must look for ways to be an active force in our own lives. We must take charge of our own destinies, design a life of substance and truly begin to live our dreams."

"A lot of people do not muster the courage to live theirdreams because they are afraid to die."

"When you face your fear, most of the time you will discover that it was not really such a big threat after all. We all need some form of deeply rooted, powerful motivation -- it empowers us to overcome obstacles so we can live our dreams."

"The things you want are always possible; it is just that the way to get them is not always apparent. The only real obstacle in your path to a fulfilling life is you, and that can be a considerable obstacle because you carry the baggage of insecurities and past experience."

Because it does," says Brown.

Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

While you're still working a full-time job, here is a list of things you can do on the side to explore an idea for a great new business:

1. Research your idea. Figure out the market, talk to prospective customers about what they would like, see who your competitors are, and so forth.
2. Undertake legal incorporation and trademark protection.
3. Claim a web URL, build a website (or have it built) and get company email accounts.
4. Get a bank account and credit card (most likely you'll have to use personal credit at first).
5. If appropriate, initiate a Facebook page, a blog and a Twitter account.
6. Develop branding.
7. Talk it up to your network. Try to find interested parties as co-founders, staff, investors and advisers.
8. If necessary, build financial projections and draft a business plan.
9. Engage in personal financial planning, including cutting back on expenses and budgeting for startup costs.
10. Create a mock prototype and presentation for potential investors or customers.

If all of this sounds like a lot of work, you’re right. Getting this done while holding down a job is a significant commitment. Yet, you’re just getting started. There’s a big jump in difficulty when it comes to the next things.

1. Raise money. In my experience, fledgling entrepreneurs focus way too much on the money -- you can get most things done and figure out a lot without spending much. That said, most businesses require money to launch and get off the ground. Finding initial funds is the primary barrier most entrepreneurs face, as many people don’t have three or six months’ worth of savings to free themselves up to do months of unpaid legwork.

2. Develop the product. Product development is a significant endeavor. Even if you’re hiring someone to build your product, managing them to specifications is a huge task in itself. You can expect vendors to take twice as long and cost twice as much as you planned. This phase might require raising additional money as well.

3. Build a team. Most people don’t build a business alone and finding quality partners or employees can be time consuming and unpredictable. Your first employee is going to look to you for guidance and her productivity is going to depend on your ability to manage. With partners, you’ll need to make sure you can work well with them, since they’re going to be with you from the ground up and for years afterward.

4. Get customers. Going to trade shows or trying to get your first handful of paying customers is typically a major time investment. This can involve web marketing, producing content and search engine optimization -- all of which take significant energy and resources to generate a return.

9/11 was an inside job....???

Zwartmaken. En wat is dan de beste manier? Natuurlijk!
